Kia ora I’m Janie Smith

Tena Koe,

Ko Whakapiki te maunga,
Ko Hokianga te moana,
Ko Ngatokimatawhauroa te waka,
Ko Ngapuhi te iwi,
Ko Te Ihutai te hapu,
Ko Pikiparia te marae,
Ko Janie Smith ahau.

In my own Hauora (health) journey, I have trained in different forms of massage and mirimiri, and have developed my skills over 30 years. The style of treatment is intuitive, through assessment, I will be able to advise you on the type of work you may require. This may be from deep tissue Remedial body work to working on a more energetic level through touch, intuition, and learnt knowledge of the body systems, encompassing Tinana, Hinengaro, and Wairua together.

I am a Homoeopath, with the use of vibrational essences, they can help many ailments and work at a constitutional level of healing, it was through this love I journeyed through India and found another world of exciting medicine in Ayurveda. After experiencing treatments in India, I had to follow this path, which led me to study with Dr Arjit in NZ, a renowned Ayurvedic doctor. I loved his teachings, and they called me on a soul level. I then started to bring the treatments into my practice and found profound value in Kati Basti and Shirodhara, and the foods of nature, which is the basis of Ayurvedic medicine. (Food is medicine)

My other great love is Rongoa, and my Kaiako Pa Ropata is a profound teacher of Rongoa.

I feel excited to engage in future projects and to be a part of a collective that cares for the Ngahere, I wish to be able to say, one day in the future, we tried to leave something intact for our tamariki.

I have recently supported the Taumata Rongoa as a kai mirimiri at Maungamuka Clinic, and have supported our whanau with Rongoa.

I am a grandmother of six beautiful Mokopuna, who have hope and light.

My aim is to work towards a conscious collective, and to connect you with your body, your heart, and your soul through deep energetic work, plus individualised therapy to lift your Ahua.

With aroha,

Nau mai haere mai.
